I’m Melissa, the creative eye behind Melissa Jay Photography. In 2015, I discovered my love for photography in a casino. Okay, let me explain. I worked as a Digital Marketer for a Philadelphia casino which required me to pick up a camera to create content for the company's social media accounts. While, I loved capturing winning patrons, bright-colored slot machines and fancy dinner plates, I wanted to do more. So, I began photographing my children on the weekends. They quickly became regular models for me and inspired me to work with other families, couples and professionals. The rest is history.

When I’m not conducting photo shoots or editing client photos, you can find me getting lost in reality television or scrolling Instagram searching for creative inspiration. Although I am happiest when I am creating, my favorite roles of all are being a mom to my three children Mason, Paige and Miles and wifey to my husband Jabari.

My style? Think bold colors, rich tones, and all the good vibes. I love playing with light, movement, and energy to bring out the beauty in every moment. No stiff poses here—just genuine connections, lots of laughs, and images that feel as amazing as they look.
