From the moment you inquire to the final delivery of your gallery, you'll be guided through a personalized experience that is relaxed, intentional, and centered around you. Schedule a Consultation
We'll connect via Zoom or email to discuss your goals, location options, styling ideas, and the experience you'd like to create. This is your opportunity to ask questions and ensure we're the perfect fit.
STEP 03
Select Your Package
Once you've chosen the package that best fits your needs, I'll send over your contract and invoice.
Your session date is officially reserved once your signed contract and retainer are received.
STEP 04
Your Session Day
Relax and enjoy the experience. I'll guide you every step of the way with natural posing, prompts, and direction so you never have to worry about what to do in front of the camera. The focus is on genuine connection, authentic emotion, and creating beautiful images together.
FAQ
01. How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance whenever possible, especially during busy seasons such as spring, fall, and the holidays. Maternity sessions are best booked during your second trimester.
02. When will i receive my photos?
Delivery timelines vary by session type and season but are typically no more than 3-4 weeks. I always strive to deliver a beautifully curated gallery as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest quality.
03. Do you provide unedited RAW images?
No. The final edited images you receive represent my artistic style and the quality of work Melissa Jay Photography is known for. For this reason, RAW or unedited files are not provided.
04. Where will my session take place?
Sessions can take place outdoors, in your home, at a meaningful location, or at my studio, Highlight Creative Studio located in Burlington, NJ. During our planning process, I'll help you select the perfect location based on your vision and style.
